About Todd Kelly
I’ll confess. Despite what I ever envisioned for my life, I’m an entrepreneur. After spending 10 years as a professional with the Boy Scouts of America, and another eight years as a manager at the Georgia Department of Revenue, I finally broke out on my own in 2007 and started my own business.
April 2012 marked the 5th Anniversary of my first business, Tax Traxx – Email me at Tax Traxx . Tax Traxx provides Sales and Use tax services to business all over the country. We currently prepare Sales and Use tax returns for a clients in 45 states. Our first client happens to be a manufacturer, but Tax Traxx also provides Sales and Use tax services and Alcohol and Tobacco licensing for bars, restaurants, convenience stores and other retail businesses in Georgia.
My newest venture is called BigRock Publishing – Email me at BigRock Publishing Big Rock Publishing is a safe haven for unpublished authors, who have not been able to get their work published through the traditional publishing channels. We will offer new authors blog space, a community of others writers, an opportunity to publish ebooks (at little or no cost) or to publish hardbound or paperback editions of their work. We will be a distributor of many genres, including, but not limited to History, Fiction, Military Sci-Fi, Self-Help, Business and Marketing, and others.
Some early projects include “Wrestling, The Middle School Way”, and Rear Echelon, both written by Darryl Ellrott (dsellrott.com), my long-time compatriot. Rear Echelon rocketed to the top-10 on the Kindle Store back in 2011.
Big Rock Publishing is also the home to the Boy Scout Book Project. In 2010, we began publishing Kindle editions of what will become a library of nearly a hundred titles of early 20th Century Boy Scout fiction titles. These are fiction works that have been out of print for more than 80 years and describe the early scouting program.
If you are an author, writer, or poet, or if you have a special skill that you would like to share with the world, we’d be glad to help you discover your inner Hemingway.
I still do some volunteer work with the Boy Scouts. My wife and I live in Duluth, GA (just north of Atlanta) with our two cool children (a 10 year old and a 7 year old).
I have also been a public speaker for many years and continue to be a sought after speaker in many areas. One of my favorite challenges is to bring a humorous point of view to Accounting Associations, Tax Preparer Industry Groups and other related groups. I am also available to speak about the early history of Scouting, Scouting collectibles, and Entrepreneurship.
Recently, quite a few of my friends and colleagues have referred their contacts to me for one on one consulting to help them determine whether they are ready to jump headlong into the world of entrepreneurship.
